Social inequalities inherited from colonial times have kept peasants and slaves under the yoke of the Oligarchy. Ezequiel Zamora, mobilized by the profound ideals of freedom, leads a struggle trying to erase the gap between the opulence of the rich and the misery of the poor, and fair allocation of land.
