Boston in the 1920s. Young debutante Catharine Robb of Concord is dating the wealthiest bachelor at the time, John D. Rockefeller III. Her future seems set -- a dream life in the upper echelons of society. But then, while studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, she meets Peter Whyte, a young Canadian painter from the mountains of Banff, Alberta.
