The 81-minute documentary “Parajanov - A Ticket To Eternity”, looks at the life and work of Soviet-era film director Sergei Parajanov, a seminal figure in world cinema. Parajanov was active in Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia, and was persecuted by the communist government on the pretext of his homosexuality. Parajanov was convicted on largely fabricated charges, spent years in Soviet labor camps, and was not allowed to work freely. The director of this documentary, Harry Tamrazian of Radio Free Europe, Radio Liberty, is currently finishing post production on an English version aimed at global broadcast networks and video-on-demand.
