With 32 man-made obstacles on a 14 mile course set in the Victorian seaside resort of Southport, competitors must take on freezing waters, the sands and mudflats that line the edge of the Irish Sea, climb the mile-long Victorian pier and take on the unusual challenges of the Pleasureland Theme Park, including the Hall of Mirrors. At last they will come to the Xtreme Storm's final obstacle: Apocalypse. Many will come, few will finish.
