Bob Sheppard is the legendary public address announcer and "voice" of Yankee Stadium since 1951. Bob was a speech teacher in the New York City school system and at St. John's University when he joined the Yankees. Yankee officials heard him deliver a tribute to Babe Ruth at a local football game in 1948.
