Gigi Gryce，Alto saxophonist, trained at Boston Conservatory and under Arthur Honegger in Paris. Strongly influenced by Charlie Parker. Recorded extensively in the mid- and late 1950's, both with other musicians and as leader of small combos. Also a noted composer, including of classical symphonic music.
