Pamela Heath was born Pamela Sneed in Columbia, Missouri on September 8, 1955. She began painting and publishing cartoons while an undergraduate at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She married her husband, Gary Heath, while in Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, later divorcing in 1987.
