塔玛拉·斯捷潘尼扬,Tamara Stepanyan, born in 1982 in Yerevan. She and her parents moved to Lebanon in the early 1990s and she continued her studies at the National Film School of Denmark. She now lives in France and is considered one of the new voices of contemporary Armenian cinema. Her long-feature debut, Embers (2012), premiered at the Busan International Film Festival. Those from the Shore (2016) and Village of Women (2019) participated in and were awarded at numerous international festivals. She is currently in post-production on her first fiction film, Save the Dead, shot in Armenia.
